About Linda.

Linda is a Newport Beach–based artist known for her vibrant, coastal-inspired work that captures the ocean’s dynamic spirit. After earning her Fine Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach in the early 1980s, she developed a style that blends modern impressionism with abstract elements. Working primarily in acrylic and watercolor, she uses bold color, loose brushstrokes, and layered patterns to evoke motion and atmosphere within simplified coastal landscapes.

Her process is playful and intuitive. She allows each piece to evolve organically, welcoming experimentation and creative problem-solving as part of the journey. Living near the ocean in Southern California continually fuels her work—its shifting light, moods, and energy inspiring her approach to color and form. Using both photographs and visual memory, she begins with a loose vision, letting the painting guide her as it develops.

Linda’s work has been exhibited in local galleries and featured in publications including Orange Coast (Person of Interest), Shoutout LA, and Artists Magazine (Emerging Artist). She has also participated in numerous local art shows.

By keeping her paintings somewhat abstracted, she invites viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with a time or place that evokes a feeling uniquely personal to them.
